Education: postgraduate degree
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- At least 1 year of full-time clinical experience
- Active licensure in DC
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a mobile setting
- Outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine experience preferred, but not required
Skills:
- Clinical Expertise: Proficient in orthopedic and sports-related evaluation and treatment, adaptable for diverse needs including post-op, wellness, women’s health, and geriatrics
- Critical Thinking: Skilled in analyzing movement, identifying underlying causes, and developing creative, individualized treatment plans
- Communication & Education: Strong ability to educate patients on the “what and why” behind their condition to empower long-term success
- Professional Autonomy: Comfortable managing your own schedule, documentation, and caseload while maintaining excellent outcomes
- Adaptability: Thrives in a mobile care setting and adjusts easily to different treatment environments
- Team Mindset: Values collaboration, learning, and shared clinical discussion, even within an independent model
- Growth-Oriented: Open to mentorship and continuing education to refine and expand clinical expertise
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Provide direct, hands-on, one-hour treatment sessions with each patient
- Educate and empower patients to understand and manage their condition
- Collaborate with a supportive network of physical therapists
- Manage your own caseload and travel efficiently between patient locations
